Grant Application Form – Explanatory Notes

Who Can Apply?

Persons applying for assistance to ENET must be resident in the East Neuk Locality postcode areas, which are KY9, KY10 and part of KY8. They must either be on benefits or on low income and be experiencing a genuine emergency. They may also consider an application from an applicant who has applied to or has been unable to apply to any other agencies.

Who do I apply to and how will my application be dealt with?

ENET is a community based Trust and referring agencies such as Housing, Social Work or local health visitor, GP, or Foodbank etc will apply to the trust on your behalf.

All applicants will be informed as soon as possible of any decision that is made.

What can I apply for?

Applications will normally be accepted for the purchase of items needed in an emergency and are deemed necessary. These may include e.g. washing machines, essential equipment or in certain circumstances travel costs.

What can I NOT apply for?

Applications will not be accepted for help with general debts or anything that is not deemed a genuine emergency.

What help can I expect?

Funds are limited because we rely on receiving donations to help with the work of the Trust. We may only be able to contribute to the most genuine of cases but applications will receive fair and equitable consideration.

How long does it take?

All applicants will be contacted within 24 hours and assessed within a maximum of three days. Applicants will be notified of the outcome by phone, in person or by letter whichever is most appropriate.

How will the grant be paid?

Goods will be paid for directly to the supplier, cash will not be given to the applicant.
